There was a contest to see if anyone could guess the source for this Rockfest's motto, 'It's a New Dawn'
Several people sent in answers:
Mr. Miamo, Mr. Charnotorin/Charnota and Ms. Nutmegan and I hope I didn't forget anyone
And I learned this phrase has been used in many contexts
Such as songs, plays, movies, rose naming and Star Wars
None of which are where I have it from
The answer is, it was said by Ms. Grace Slick
At the start of her band's set at That Other Famous Music Festival
Find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcBkXV5Ci3Q
about 25 seconds from the start
Everyone who submitted a guess will receive a ton of Fried Mushrooms as a consolation prize by Quck Post
That is, they will receive it if the Posthobbit does not, hm, appropriate the packages

![]() Weatherstock... 17 Posts | Hehee! "Woodstock" is what came to mind, but I thought it might be too obscure a reference for it to be the answer. (I also wasn't certain whether I was remembering correctly that it was Jefferson Airplane who said it or even if I had the right phrase, and I thought looking it up would be cheating. Well, that...and I kept forgetting to do it.) |
